Kevin Gorter died in car accident shortly after graduating from Duke University in 1987. He was one of the most energetic, compassionate, charismatic, humorous and empathetic young man you could ever hope to meet. To keep Kevin’s spirit for life present in our lives, Kevin’s closest friends started the Kevin Gorter Memorial, which will celebrate its 25th year in 2012. Ten years ago we formed a charity in Kevin’s name to support hockey programs for developmentally and financially challenged kids around Chicago - programs Kevin would have loved. Details regarding this year’s golf tournament, fundraising and other festivities will be available shortly.
